these are two series of improvisations, from two different days.

they were inspired by seeing steve swallow play on 9 august, which reminded me that he is a true individual voice on the instrument and an american treasure who might be easily overlooked as he is not flashy.

all the improvs were recorded using one bass (flatwound strings tuned A-Bb) straight into the mixer into ableton live with minimal processing (reverb) and eq.
